I purchased this for my flip camera because the thin fabric case that came with it was flimsy and I thought the camera might get scratched. I am so glad I purchased this, it not only saves from scratches but I have dropped it a couple of times and it saves the camera!! I just wish it had a strap to carry it, I supposed I could rig something up. I also can carry a couple of extra batteries in case mine fail. I am very glad I purchased it, it was well worth it.

This is a wonderful purchase for the Flip Recorder. It is easy to spot in the bottom of your purse, and it really protects the Recorder.
The little "soft pouch" that came with the recorder didn't provide any protection for the Flip. I would recommend spending a little extra for the "life" of your Flip.

My infant managed to make the soft case on my original Flip video camera smell appealing to our family dog, who proceded to put one tooth through the lense. This case is decent at keeping my infant and my dog off of my replacement Flip camera. As mentioned elsewhere, it is a tight fit. For example I cannot fit any extra batteries in the case. Small loss for the savings I will have in video-camera-replacement department.

The soft case provided is great if you're going to carry it in your pocket and always aware of where it is. If you have kids and you're out, you will have a a lot of stuff, and finding this camera easily is key. Plus keeping it protected. This case does both. We got the bright orange case and it is easy to find in my purse or the diaper bag, plus it keeps the camera protected from the stuff in those bags. Works well.
